about

The music on this album was inspired by the myth, mystery and timelessness of the monolithic form; from the alien monoliths in Arthur C. Clarke's work, to the ancient stones of Stonehenge.

-----

I had some ambitions for this project: create a four-part piece, dub it onto some 90min tapes and make it my first ever cassette release. Only problem was, that fourth part proved too elusive and wasn't able to create something satisfactory before I was drawn towards creating something else. I was happy with the three pieces I'd completed - a fourth may not have added anything of value - and when I listened back to it, I just thought "yes - it's finished".
