Zeitschreiber

about

Zeitschreiber ("time writer" or "time recorder" in English) continues the theme of space anomalies, this time the wormhole: a theoretical link between two points in spacetime. I imagine travelling through one would be comparable to seeing time as if you were rewinding or fast-forwarding through a recording.

-----

It's been seven years since I last used Paulstretch - the last time was on "Forward": a piece I composed in miniature knowing what effects Paulstretch would have on it. I had the idea of using two pieces in the same key, both stretched out to roughly the same length and hard-panned in each channel. I used two recordings from the "Open" Goldberg Variations, performed by Kimiko Ishizaka (see credits below) as well as adding my own elements in between.
